Job Summary:
Credit Analyst will be responsible for performing routine duties related to consumer and business loan applications. Generate loan documentation for all types of loans; process loan payments and advances on lines of credit; prepares supporting documents to assist Loan Officers in evaluating the financial creditworthiness for the purpose of approval or decline decisions on all types of loans. Support collection efforts under the direction of Loan Officer according to bank policy and procedure.
Assures compliance with all Bank’s lending policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
• Analyzes financial statements (including performance ratios) of all levels of quality to develop initial assessment by identifying strengths and weaknesses as pertaining to borrower’s historical operating performance.
• Use financial information to create a cash flow analysis for borrowers
• Evaluate trends in various areas that impact a client’s business/operations
• Prepare a written summary of findings to assist management in making sound loan decisions
• Make recommendations for approval/denial of loan requests
• Assist with the tracking of the existing commercial loan portfolio, including completion of annual reviews and/or quarterly action plans
• Assist with consumer underwriting if needed
• Assist Sr. Credit Analyst Officer and Senior Lender with various reporting and tracking items
• Collects and maintains industry data; research industry specific information from outside sources, including conversations with the borrower, industry publications, references from other banks, credit agencies, as well as accessing information through the internet.
• Processes and establishes accountability pertaining to Commercial Loan Agreement requirements/covenants.
• Manages the credit request process; inputs applicant’s information, orders preliminary reports; (I.e. credit report, title, flood, UCC, Secretary of the state, etc.) (Personal and Commercial Lending Products)
• Prepares and/or collects supporting documents for credit file on personal and commercial loan request for decision process; application, personal financial statement, check stubs, personal and/or corporate tax returns, business entity paperwork, business operating agreement, by-laws, profit and loss statement, balance sheet. (documents to support loan type)
• Analyzes and processes all draws, reviews documentation for proper approvals and makes loan disbursements to voucher control Company or borrower in accordance with contracts.
• Reviews loan approvals to ensure information is complete; follows up to obtain missing data.
• Prepares loan agreements to ensure they are complete and accurate according to FLB policy.
• Supports Loan Officer on delinquent loans and declines. As well as collecting subsequent documentation.
• Maintains accurate files. (Delinquent loans, declines, copies, faxes, ordered reports, collateral documentation, loan files, payoffs, credit reports, financial data or as assigned by Loan Officer)
• Calculates loan pay offs accurately for all types of loans.
• Answer the telephone; responds to routine loan officer and customer inquiries; loan inquiries and account inquiries.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Adheres to provisions as set forth in the Fair Debt Collection Practices ACT (FDCPA) and ensures collection activity is always within First Liberty Bank policy and relevant regulations.
• Complies with all applicable rules, regulations and policies, including but not limited to BSA, OFAC, and Physical Security.
• Supports the Bank’s goals and values.

This position is not responsible for the supervision of any employee(s).
Education & Job Qualifications:
• Associates Degree; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess 3 years’ experience in loan administration or processing.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Must have some knowledgeable in the areas of loan servicing activities and terminology.
• Must have some knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank lending policies.
• Must have basic math skills; calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
• Possess good customer service skills
• Must possess effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
• Possess problem solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum directions.
• Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft office and functions such as mail merge.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
• Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus.
